The first thing I want to express about planning for a great portrait session is not to wait, have professional portraits now because you are deserving. Start early, right when you say hey I need pictures of my family, That is when you start planning. No amount of money can give you back time, I would love to help you preserve the moments while you have them.
Here's how to prepare:
-
I suggest starting to plan your session 2 to 4 weeks before the scheduled date. Plan side by side with your photographer for guidance
-
Ask your photographer about your outfit choices 1 week before so you can have input on any changes that will make your outfits even better
-
Have a plan B. Location, outfits, the act of God, stormy whether- you name it could happen, wellness and safety are so important so with a plan we can be flexible and work together for your perfect portraits.
-
Talk to your kiddos the day before about how fun it will be, if your kids are old enough set the expectations of behavior
-
Take care of yourself when planning. 8 -10 hours of sleep, drink your water and eat good meals to gain the energy you will be needing. I love to explore with families. Use essential oils such as Lavender and Adaptive blend to ease stress
